Full Name: Kolbjorn's Verosh Na'Quartil Ves (Kolbjorn's Purple Flutist, Ves)
Species: Bunny
Gender: Male
Age and Place of Birth: 34, born in Kolbjorn's burrow, by the Azurnium Mountains.
Rank and Title: Inquisitor; Bana.
Appearance: 5'5''. Ves' fur pattern is black on white. He has black patches everywhere. Four of his fingers on the right hand have black fur, while his left is entirely. The left eye is surrounded by a large patch of black, likewise on the lower right jaw and the middle of his right ear and left foot have black patches. The fur on the top half of his right ear has been scorched off, but the skin is without burn marks, and he has a small round spot of fur on his left cheek which was originally cursed red by a mage, but turned permanently bright green after touching it with his blue-steel sword; He still have no idea why. Ves wears at all times a black bowler hat, with holes in it for his ears. He has found that armor is mostly useless against his favored enemies and encumbers him in ways his physique and fighting style cannot sustain, so he has abandoned chainmail in favor of silk, a light-weight fabric that is deceptively strong. Unfortunately silk is also expensive, so he can only afford to buy silk in small quantities at a time. As a result his silk vest and pants are multiple layers of patchwork, red, purple, dark green and light blue. Any other inquisitor would be able to pay for the silk just fine, as the pay is good, but Ves is absolutely terrible at managing money. The Nezumi silk merchants may also have banded together to collectively price gouge once they realized a bunny consistently falls for it.
Family: Hoo boy. He's a bunny. He has a lot of family. His mother is alive and one of the possible fathers are, too. He's got several dozens of living siblings and cousins.
Friends: None (yet)
Enemies: If you use magic, you're an enemy.
Love Life: Bunnies are rarely monogamous. At best they have "preferred mates", one such Ves has in Kolbjorn's burrow and another in the southern-most bunny community in Akamu, Hendel's burrow.
Likes: Fighting & jumping. Music; playing his flute Kanbana leaves.
Hates: Magic users Sitting still
Fears: Ves suffers from mild claustrophobia. He can go through small rooms fine, but really does not want to be stuck in one for prolonged periods of time.
Strengths: Very fast and agile. Can jump really well; powerful bunny legs. Excellent swordsman Superb sense of hearing.
Weaknesses: Not physically strong, outside of his legs. Prejudiced against magic and magic users. Highly varying levels of activity. Too much pride in Akamu, bunnies and his clan, in reverse order. No sense of economy.
Weaponry and Gear: Kolbjorn's Ves has four sheathes of varying length carried on top of each other on his left hip. Blue steel sword, Avkledt-For-Sin-Elskede: The longest sheathe, the one closest to the ground, holds Ves' blue steel sword. A one-handed sword with a slight curve the blade, allowing for quick draws. The comparatively low weight of blue steel over regular steel allows for a longer blade. The curve of the sword makes it effective at slashing, at the cost of being inefficient at stabbing. The qualities of blue steel negates and disrupts magic, making this Ves' primary weapon in the hunt for mages.
Wooden sword: The second-longest sheathe holds Ves' wooden practice sword. As fighting is one of Ves' primary interests, but hurting people is not, he carries a wooden sword with which he will happily duel people, or just knock sense into people who do not deserve permanent injuries. He may also use it against opponents he deem inferior and not worthy of his blue steel.
Long knife: The third-longest sheathe holds a long knife. You call that a knife? No, this is a knife.
The Purple Flute: The shortest sheathe holds The Purple flute. It is a flute and it is purple. For obvious reasons it is not magic, but it is still Ves' most precious possession. It is a bunny flute, which means it has two holes in the mouthpiece for the front teeth, and this plays a role in making the music. Since a bunny has very long incisors, only a bunny can produce music from it.
Longbow: Ves is not a noticeably good archer, but he carries a very long bow with him regardless. If he can snipe off a mage in the distance then that is wonderful, if he cannot then the arrow landing in the vicinity serves as a challenge.
Bowler hat: As an inquisitor, a man who hunts magic-users, Ves needs to be shielded from magic. A full blue-steel armor would require too much of the precious metal to be standard-issue gear, but to shield the inquisitor from the lies of mages, an inquisitor is issued a small amount of blue steel to be fashioned around his head in some form. A ring around the ear could have done it, but Ves opted for the more stylish approach of a black bowler hat with blue steel in the rim, and holes for his ears to poke through.
Training: Swordsmanship Fair tracker Mediocre marksman
History: At least in Akamu, a bunny bears the name of his burrow, to signify how closely knit together the families are. As such Kolbjorn's Ves was born in Kolbjorn's burrow, eighteenths son of his mother, Kolbjorn's Mnevs, and his father was likely either Kolbjorn's Richter or the travelling bunny from another burrow, Hjalmark's Mimre. He grew up among many other kittens, but never lacked adult supervision, and while not knowing his father, there were plenty of father figures to choose from. This was lucky as Ves singlehandedly required more effort of the burrow than his siblings combined. He was constantly active, lacked any form of sleep pattern and did not seem to ever run out of energy to run away with. Living close to the Azurnium Mountains most of his burrow were miners with a few smiths. Living so close to the largest deposit of anti-magic ore in the world, Ves never had any negative experiences with magic. Indeed, he never saw any magic as long as he lived in the burrow, but instead he was told by everyone how important the clan's work was, how all of Akamu thanked Kolbjorn's bunnies for the ore they helped provide, and how Akamu was kept free of magic in part thanks to his family. Ves developed a deep pride in his burrow, a great fascination for the blue steel and a great hatred for magic, which he had never even seen. His family in general had a strong clan-pride, but Ves took it further and saw his clan as the best in the world, despite never having stepped outside of the burrow and its surrounding territory. However there was nothing substantial for him to place his pride in. Food was imported in exchange for the precious metals; clothes, too, and the ore was of no use by itself to the bunnies who could not refine it. Everything Ves got as he grew up was made outside of his clan. The only thing in his life created by one of Kolbjorn's bunnies was a purple flute, which only a bunny could play on. Just like he never saw magic, so did Ves never see refined blue ore. It became his obsession not just to help all of Akamu never to be troubled by magic, as he never was, but even more so he wished to see the realized power of the ore that Kolbjorn's bunnies had mined for generations. Ves wished to wield a blue steel weapon more than anything, and for this reason he did not become a miner, nor a smith, because the odds of becoming a suyeta - a Chosen Smith - were too low. He took the path of the inquisitor, studying the law, training to make himself lethal and he read what little knowledge of magic was allowed and available so to better understand his enemy and in time his fervor was rewarded with his blue steel sword and title of Bana. Despite his accomplishments and his obsessions Ves never officially took the title of "mage-killer" or "inquisitor" for his name, instead naming himself for his purple flute. Ves is a son of Akamu, an enemy of magic, but he is first and foremost a child of Kolbjorn, and he has named himself in honor of something created in full by his clan: Kolbjorn's Purple Flutist.
