Born to loving middle-class parents in House Tullius, Avitus had an idyllic childhood. His high scores in primary school qualified him for an education in Namoria's universities, where he took courses from both the military and engineering branches before serving a tour of duty as a military engineer.
After an honorable discharge from the kingdom's military, Avitus took up the family trade, starting as a low-level worker in his father's pharmaceutical business. For a time, life was good. He enjoyed working to earn his keep under his father's guidance. Of course, life is never content to make things easy. After uncovering and foiling an attempt to taint a shipment of medicine bound for the kingdom's frontier, Avitus attracted the attention of the Protectors Domesticae, who invited him to meet at a nonexistent bar in a dirty back alley. Soon enough, he found himself sitting in a dark room faced with an offer to serve his homeland further. Being young and stupid, he agreed. Training was tough. Torture resistance. Marathons. Bodyguard work. Harsh environment survival. Nothing was left out of his highly lethal Protector training regimen. Several times during training, he'd nearly died, but somehow, he made it.
Now, two years into his service, Avitus leads a small cell of fellow intelligence agents, working to uncover the mystery behind a series of gruesome, high-profile, and seemingly connected murders.
